Yin Yoga is about relaxing, letting go and has a very meditative quality to it. Today we mostly know of Hatha Yoga and Ashtanga Yoga with a more dynamic and fast flow, working on the muscular system, a so called Yang practice. Yin yoga is calmer and more peaceful, working on the connective tissues which consist of ligaments, tendons, cartilage, joints, capsules and our deep fascial networks. Yin Yoga helps strengthen your body to become healthier, more flexible and mentally more peaceful. In order to reach the connective tissue which by nature is less elastic than our muscular system, we have to hold the postures for longer periods of time - between 3 and 7 minutes. Yin yoga focuses on opening and unblocking your energy meridians that run through your body. These meridians directly affect your body and your organs.
Suitable for beginners and all fitness levels. Wear loose flowing clothes suitable for comfort and movement. Pre-booking is required to reserve your place. Please click on the links below to sign up. Investment: £20 pp per class

Patricia found yoga in 2007 and ever since was totally hooked. Throughout the years she practised different styles and then decided to get her Yoga Teacher certificate in Hatha Yoga. It worked miracles on her as through the slower pace of the practise she was able to create a relationship with her breath and therefore benefit not only from the physical strength but also from the breathing which nourished her whole body and mind. Patricia did her first classical Hatha Yoga certificate in India with Shivananda School in 2011 and her second certificate with her teacher Yogi Ashokananda in Himalayan Hatha Yoga here in London in 2013. She also teaches Yin yoga - to relax and wind down while going into the connective tissue and often adds a few yin poses at the end of her classes. Patricia’s classes are a combination of flow, breathing and strengthening the body, connecting deeply on a physical and also spiritual level.
